We had a wedding in Split the night before. We slept for 6 hours, and drove for another 4 to get to Sarajevo. At the border they searched our car from bottom to top while we stood in 38 degrees and answered the questions to what is in which pocket. And you know camera bags have a lot of pocket. A LOT!
We came just in time and put on our shirt, and the rain started. Like heavy heavy rain. Sky fell open. But we prayed and weather turned around for us.
Nedžed and Soraya had an Al Capone 1920 outfit for their wedding. Every detail was planned. The preparations were short and simple. It was a small wedding for close family and best friends only. It’s so refreshing to shoot a wedding like that!
We had a short period of time for our wedding session prior to a wedding ceremony in Emperor’s Mosque, but what we did was absolutely awesome! N&S were great for posing and with such a great couple everything went as smooth as it can get. We shot in from of the City Hall and inside! When I came inside of the City Hall a biiiig smile came on my face and I wished we could spent like 4-5 hors shooting there! It was like a dream come true. But we only had 20min!
After the shoot, ceremony took place in the mosque. It was such an honour for me to be a part of their wedding. I already shot 2 weddings for Soraya’s two brothers, so I knew half of the family well and felt like a part of it. Not many have the privilage to marry in Emeror’s Mosque, so for me to shoot inside was a big deal!
After the ceremony there was an intimate dinner in the Skybar on top of Marriot hotel.
At the end, they wished we do a photo shoot in the Sarajevo downtown. And what a great 2 hours we spent!
So here it is, Nedžad and Soraya’s best wedding photos.
With all my love and lenses 🙂
